ROV - Roll Over Sensors
Roll Over (ROV) sensors as a part of the passive restraint systems are integrated into airbag controllers. The sensors are angular rate sensors in one or two directions (also, roll and pitch) and accelerometer, which measures in the z-direction compared to the car body (vertical). The typical sensitivity for the accelerometer is between 3 and 5g, frequency range up to 400Hz and offset stability about 300mg.
