VTI's Pressure Sensors for New FRWD Sports Computer
VTI Technologies Oy supplies pressure sensors for the Finnish FRWD Technologies Ltd's new B Series Sports Computer. The sensors enable new functions in consumer products for sports and leisure.
Thanks to the high resolution of VTI's SCP1000 pressure sensor, FRWD's new B Series Sports Computer can, besides altitude measurement, display an accurate terrain height profile and shape, which provides both fitness enthusiasts and athletes with more accurate information on their performance and how to improve it. The small size of VTI's pressure sensors enables manufacturers to launch smaller, more user-friendly consumer products.
VTI develops sensors with competitive features for consumer and industrial applications that expand the traditional sphere of sensor technology. In addition to medical applications, special growth areas include consumer applications related to sports, leisure and handheld terminals. Some examples are sports computers, GPS navigation devices, sports watches and diving equipment.
