Combined Gyroscope and Acceleration Sensors
VTI's new combined gyroscope and acceleration sensors have excellent bias stability, vibration robustness and excellent noise performance. Sensors are ideal for different industrial applications where high performance and environmental robustness are required. Typical applications include Inertial Measurement Units (IMU's), platform control and stabilization, motion analysis control as well as guidance and navigation systems.
Products are digital, having separate SPI-interfaces for angular rate and acceleration output. High level block diagram is presented below:

SCC1300 sensors have a temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C. Both angular rate and acceleration outputs are also temperature compensated offering best possible performance to the end customer. SCC1300-D02 gyro bias stability (Allan variance) is below 1 °/h and bias accuracy over full temperature range is <±0.6 °/s. Acceleration sensors offsetstability is ±18 mg. Both sensors are very robust against mechanical shocks and vibrations allowing operation in demanding applications. Component dimensions are 18.65 mm x 8.5 mm x 4.53 mm (length x width x height).
Angular rate range options are ±100 °/s or ±300 °/s and corresponding acceleration ranges ±2 g or ±6 g. Different product versions are presented in table below.
